Wild Flower ID
Saturday 28th June 10am – 12pm
Investigate and identify the flowers in the Park as you walk along.
 
Friends AGM
Thursday 3rd July  10am in the Discovery Room at the Visitor Centre
Come and hear news about the Friends’ Group, including plans for the future, grants, conservation work, the website, election of officers and lots more.Tea/coffee and cakes will be served.

Walking Sticks
Sunday 20th July 12 – 3pm
Carve your own personalised walking stick from materials found in the Park. Make it just the right height and hand hold for yourself. All materials provided.
 
Spoons and Spatulas
Sunday 28th September 12 – 3pm
Learn some of the tricks of the trade to make your own kitchen spatulas and spoons. Find out which wood is the best for this and have a go at some of the tools including a shave horse, pole lathe, spoon gouge and curved knife!
 
The Big Draw
Sunday 12th October 1 – 4pm
You can do it! Make your own charcoal and draw your own design.
 
Christmas Decorations
Sunday 30th November 1 – 4pm
Wreaths, angels, etc all made with materials from the Park.

December (throughout the school holidays)
 
Events Booking Information
The events are available to everyone to enjoy, learn about the Country Park and the surrounding countryside.
  • Places are limited, so booking is required.
  • All events are free of charge, but if you enjoy yourself, why not make a donation in one of our boxes. We will use any money collected to put on future events.
  • The meeting point for all events is by the garage doors at the rear of the visitor centre.
  • Please wear sturdy boots and sensible outdoor clothing whilst on the walks or on the conservation tasks.
  • Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
